Hit&Run Art Show, Ellesmere, Sunday 16th August.

There is going to be an open air art show at the Mere in Ellesmere this Sunday with work showing by over fifty local and regional artists and craftpeople working in a multitude of media.  There will be six marquees and what currently feelslike everygazebo in Shropshire on hand in case of rain but we are hoping artists will take the opportunity to get their work out into the sunshine.

Along with the artwork there will be a doodle wall and two sessions of life drawing for absolute beginners which will comprise a part of the Big Draw fesitval of drawing to be held this October.

Ellesmere artist Sarah Stokes and I have organised the show to bring together local artists and, we hope, to begin the process of developing a sense of an arts community in the area. 

The event will be held in Cremorne Gardens, Ellesmere along with all the usual facilities.  Entrance is completely free although there will be a small charge for some activities.
